Summary
Look. Learn. Listen. This unique program is a collaboration between Strings Music Festival and Yampatika. The evening will feature Carolyn Berns and John Fog playing celestial themed folk and classical music on electric violin and guitar. Throughout the evening, Colorado Mountain College professor Paul McCudden will teach basic astronomy as the sun sets and stars rise in the summer sky. Participants will be able to safely view celestial objects through telescopes in accordance with local public health guidelines.
Description
PLEASE NOTE:
Each family will have their own space, bring camp chairs or blankets if you'd like. There will be standard folding chairs on site.
Important details:
Location: Meet at Forest Service office 925 Weiss Drive to park, shuttles will start at 7 PM. There will be no parking at Legacy Ranch with the exception of persons with accessibility needs.
Meeting Time: Arrive by 7:30, the program starts at 8 PM goes until 10 PM
What to wear: Dress for the weather (current and future) and dress in layers! Bring something to keep you warm as the sun goes down and there could be mosquitos!
