What time and how long is the tour Please arrive at 8:45 am we will set off and carpool at 9 AM and return to the parking lot at the trailhead by 11:00 am.

Difficultly/distance: easy terrain/ short distance. We will be moving to locations relativity close to the trailhead, this area is very gentle terrain. Dress/prepare for more time standing still than hiking.

What to wear: Dress for the weather (current and future) and dress in layers! Many people like to wear long pants/sleeves to protect themselves from the sun, dirt, and things that might make you itchy (mosquitos, etc.). Avoid cotton when you’re able to and go with a synthetic material or wool. Also remember to wear sturdy hiking shoes, good socks, a cool sun hat, and sunscreen!

What to bring in your day pack: 2 Water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, extra layers (long sleeve shirt, fleece) and also bring your waterproof jacket- weather changes quickly, make sure to come for cooler/wet weather

  • Must bring your own camera, tripod recommended but not necessary.  Geared toward DSLR; any camera welcome!
  • Something to kneel on might be nice (such as a small tarp, foam matt, garden kneelers).
