Summary

Learn about Yampa Valley's geologic past on an easy snowshoe tour of the historic Legacy Ranch, just three miles from downtown. Then come inside the warm historic ranch house where the Tread of Pioneers Museum will have expert speakers come and uncover the unique history of the Yampa Valley (masks required).

Description

Yampatika and the Tread of Pioneers Museum present a special event featuring a guided snowshoe tour with a Naturalist about Yampa Valley geology and an indoor presentation with expert local historians.

Parking is free on-site, please try and carpool if possible.

Covid-19 Policies; both of our organizations recognize the risks of indoor gatherings during the covid-19 pandemic. In order to maximize safety and social distancing, we will be taking half of the group out snowshoeing at a time so that our Tread of Pioneers Museum speakers can provide small groups and spaced-out seating indoors in the historic ranch house. Masks will be required indoors, as per CDC guidelines.
